a fruity festive garland of oranges, lemons, limes and apples.
Having seen pretty dried fruit garlands aplenty on the internet, I fancied I might have a go. Despite being in the oven for over nine hours almost none of the fruit dried out properly, testified by the sticky mess I made when it came to stringing them up. It’s doing its best at making our back room window look a little more cheery (different location as in the picture since it kept getting stuck in Flo’s hair as he walked through the doorway). In hindsight it was a terrible waste of electricity and good fruit and I’m counting the days till the first mold appears. Next year, I’ll stick to felt garlands and a few sprigs of mistletoe.
