Life in an Instant: January

January Collage

January has flown by in a haze of sleepless nights, dark mornings, and cold upon cold upon cold.

But it wasn’t all bleak, as my instagram feed reminds me, although it really did feel so at times. We explored pockets of Bristol: a visit to the M-Shed, brunch in Stokes Croft, fish and chips in Shirehampton, a walk around Kings Weston, a morning at Windmill Hill City Farm, a splash about in the park, an exhibition at Spike Island. Forced to stay home, we lit the fire, read books, and baked.

As January came to a close, sleep was thankfully restored and illnesses abated, for the time being at least. The garden, such as it is, is sprouting new life and February looks set to be brighter all round.

  1. Glad you’re all better now. Hope you have a lovely February. The first spring in a new home is always exciting – you can see what starts to grow in your garden.
